Das Bergbauministerium hat die vorübergehende Suspendierung der Beantragung von Abbaurechten aufgehoben. Das teilte Bergbauminister Tom Alweendo heute mit. In der Zwischenzeit habe man den Antragsprozess überarbeitet und unter anderem größtenteils digitalisiert. Zudem könnten Anträge jetzt nur noch unter Einreichung sämtlicher benötigten Dokumente gestellt werden. Die Suspendierung war Mitte November 2020 verkündet worden. Alweendo erklärte zudem, dass sein Ministerium eine Versteigerung von Abbaurechten in Erwägung ziehe, um zusätzliche Einnahmen für die Regierung zu generieren.
