Hitradio Namibia Meine Musik. Mein Sender.
Die Angestellten des staatlichen Transportunternehmens TransNamib wollen am kommenden Montag in den Streik treten. Eine entsprechende Ankündigung der Transportgewerkschaft NATAU wurde TransNamib vorgelegt. Marketingchef Zebby Mukungu erklärte dazu, dass die Angestellten in neun Regionen die Arbeit niederlegen wollen. Dadurch sei jedoch der Bahnverkehr im gesamten Land betroffen. Der Streik ist die Folge von lang anhaltenden Gehaltsstreitigkeiten mit TransNamib. Das finanziell angeschlagene Unternehmen hatte zudem 2020 begonnen, die Anzahl der Angestellten durch freiwillige Abfindungszahlungen zu reduzieren.
