In Namibia soll ab Oktober das Unterseeglasfaserkabel in Betrieb genommen werden. Das teilte Paratus mit. Die notwendige Infrastruktur für die Verbindung in Swakopmund sei im Januar fertiggestellt worden. Laut Paratus-Geschäftsführer Andrew Hall soll das Kabel zwanzig Mal mehr Netzwerkkapazität nach Namibia bringen. Davon sollen vor allem Unternehmen profitieren, so Hall. Das Kabel verläuft entlang der westafrikanischen Küste zwischen Europa und Südafrika.
