Durch den Aufbau einer Wasserstoff-Industrie sollen in Namibia in den kommenden vier Jahren bis zu 18.000 neue Arbeitsplätze entstehen. Das erklärte Premierministerin Saara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila heute im Rahmen der Wasserstoff-Konferenz in Windhoek. Sie sprach dabei von einem Projekt mit einem Gesamtwert von über N$ 150 Milliarden. Namibia könne so von einem Entwicklungsland zu einer global anerkannten Wirtschaft aufsteigen, so die Premierministerin weiter. Jährlich sollen bis zu 300.000 Tonnen grüner Wasserstoff in Namibia produziert werden.
