Beim Absturz eines Helikopters in der Nähe des Flugplatzes bei Swakopmund sind gestern Nachmittag zwei Personen ums Leben gekommen. Das Transportministerium bestätigte den Unfall. Die Absturzursache ist noch ungeklärt. Der Leiter der Direktion für Luftfahrtuntersuchungen im Ministerium, Magnus Abraham, sagte dazu gegenüber Future Media: „Soweit wir wissen, war es ein Testflug, die beiden Insassen waren mit Wartungsarbeiten beschäftigt. Wir können bestätigen, dass es sich um einen privaten Helikopter handelte.” Die Wrackteile sollen nun zur weiteren Untersuchung zum Eros-Flughafen nach Windhoek gebracht werden.
