Der Stadtrat von Swakopmund will offenbar Gespräche über eine mögliche Erweiterung des Stadtgebiets wiederaufnehmen. Das berichtet die Allgemeine Zeitung heute. Dem Bericht zufolge sollen ursprünglich schon 2014 ins Auge gefasst Pläne bekräftigt werden. Sie sehen vor, das bisherige Stadtgebiet um mehr als das Siebenfache zu vergrößern. Unter anderem würde dann auch Wlotzkasbaken miteingeschlossen. Entsprechende Pläne wurden laut AZ damals durch das Ministerium für städtische Entwicklung allerdings ignoriert. Konsultationen mit den zuständigen Behörden sollen nun wiederaufgenommen werden.
