Das Justizministerium weigert sich Stellung zu den Auslieferungsanträgen im Fishrot-Skandal zu beziehen. Dies berichtet der Namibian. Selbst die Anti-Korruptionsbehörde ACC werfe dem Ministerium Untätigkeit vor. Dieses lies lediglich verlautbaren, dass der Fall „sensibel“ sei. Warum das Ministerium weiterhin keine Anträge an Island gestellt hat, bleibt absolut unklar. Nur mit einer Auslieferung könnten isländische Staatsbürger im bisher größten Korruptionsskandal Namibias zur Rechenschaft gezogen werden. Vor knapp einem Jahr hieß es von Generalstaatsanwältin Martha Imalwa noch, dass sich diese verantworten müssen. Es gehe um drei Personen des isländischen Fischereiunternehmen Samherji.
