Das Umweltministerium will mit weiteren speziellen Krälen in den Regionen Kunene und Erongo die Auswirkungen der Mensch-Tier-Konflikte eindämmen. Das teilte Ministeriumssprecher Romeo Muyunda mit. Demnach habe man begonnen, Farmer mit Krälen zu unterstützen, die besonders gegen Raubtiere geschützt seien. 25 davon seien bereits errichtet worden, 100 weitere sollen bis Ende des Jahres hinzukommen. Zuletzt hatte ein einzelner Farmer in der Kunene Region 76 Stück Vieh durch einen Löwenangriff verloren. Ihm wurden N$ 40 000 in finanzieller Unterstützung durch das Ministerium zugesagt.
