LPM-Parteichef Bernardus Swartbooi hat das Kabinett für die langsame Arbeitsgeschwindigkeit des Parlaments verantwortlich gemacht. Die Minister würden keine öffentlichen Anhörungen abhalten und ihre Gesetze daher einer robusten Debatte oft nicht standhalten, so der Oppositionspolitiker gegenüber Nampa. Dies sei der Grund, warum so viele Gesetze zurückgezogen und schließlich erneut ins Parlament eingebracht würden. Präsident Hage Geingob hatte zur Parlamentseröffnung gestern bemängelt, dass zu viele Gesetze aus dem vergangenen Jahr übrig geblieben seien.
