Der Beschaffungsrat CPBN hat den umstrittenen Millionen-Auftrag zur Bereitstellung von Kondomen und OP-Handschuhen gestoppt. Einer Pressemitteilung zufolge habe das Gebot die geschätzten Kosten durch das Gesundheitsministerium überschritten. Der Beschaffungsrat habe das Recht, öffentliche Ausschreibungen in einem solchen Fall zu stornieren. Die kontroverse Vergabe des Auftrags hatte für einen öffentlichen Aufschrei gesorgt. Die Opposition forderte eine Neuausschreibung und einen Rücktritt der CPBN-Mitglieder. Der Rat hatte zudem Fehler bei der Ausschreibung eingeräumt.
