Die namibische Entwicklungsbank (DBN) stellt rund N$ 200 Millionen für die neue Khan-Solaranlage in der Nähe von Usakos zur Verfügung. Das teilte die Bank nun mit. Der Bau der Anlage hatte im März begonnen. Sie soll nach ihrer Fertigstellung im kommenden Jahr nach Betreiberangaben genug Strom für 14 Städte in der Größe von Usakos produzieren. Insgesamt soll das durch ANIREP und HopSol initiierte Projekt rund N$ 300 Millionen kosten. DBN-Marketingchef Jerome Mutumbu rief potentielle Interessenten auf, sich für weitere Solarprojekte an die Entwicklungsbank zu wenden.
