Die Geheimhaltung in der Fischereiindustrie muss enden. Das fordert das Institut für öffentliche Politikforschung (IPPR) in ihrem neuen Informationspapier über die notwendigen Folgen nach dem Fishrot-Skandal. Demnach gebe es keine öffentlich zugänglichen Verzeichnisse der Unternehmen oder der Schiffe, die Fangquoten für namibische Gewässer erhalten. Seit dem Skandal habe es in Namibia zudem keine ganzheitliche Reform des Systems zur Vergabe von Fischereirechten gegeben, heißt es weiter. Sollten diese Reformen nicht kommen, werde es zu einem möglichen zweiten Fishrot kommen, so IPPR-Geschäftsführer Graham Hopwood auf einer Informationsveranstaltung.
