Die RDP fordert eine Anhebung des Haushaltsbudgets für das Parlament. RDP-Parteichef Mike Kavekatora sprach gegenüber Nampa von einer Erhöhung um mindestens N$ 50 Millionen. Diese Erhöhung sei dringend notwendig, damit das Parlament seiner Kontrollfunktion nachkommen könne. Da das aktuelle Budget noch nicht beschlossen ist, rechnet sich Kavekatora Chancen auf eine Anpassung aus. Langfristig sollte laut dem RPD-Parteichef das Budget des Parlaments prozentuell an den Gesamthaushalt des Landes angepasst werden. Das würde für mehr Stabilität und Handlungsspielraum im Parlament sorgen.
