Die staatliche Entwicklungsbank DBN hat in den vergangenen 17 Jahren sieben Milliarden Namibia Dollar im Inland investiert. Dies geht aus einem Bericht von The Brief hervor. Die DBN investiere dabei vor allem in die Wachstumsbereiche, die von der Regierung als besonders förderungswürdig eingestuft wurden. Neben dem herstellenden Gewerbe gehe es vor allem um die Bereiche Transport und Logistik, Landwirtschaft und Tourismus. Mehr als zehn Prozent der Gesamtinvestition seien in den Tourismus geflossen, knapp 1,2 Milliarden in Erneuerbare Energien.
